Overview: This position is responsible for operating industrial production machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner including inspection and packaging of product and maintaining materials on the production line. Responsibilities: * Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures * Performs inspection and packing of wall plates as directed while following related work instructions * Documents production and other information where applicable * Places identification into each container of parts or finished goods unless alternate method has been established * Isolates suspect material and alerts technician, quality assurance, and/or supervision in the event of non-conformance * Maintains a clean machine and work area * Relocates any defective parts or assemblies to specified scrap containers * Supports Material Handler position as needed * Attends department stand-up meetings * Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to sorting and rework * Performs changeovers on packaging machines * Performs simple machine adjustments and light mechanical repair * Replaces product components such as film, barcode ribbon and screws as needed * Performs minor machine adjustments and repairs Qualifications: * Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands, to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects * Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds * Ability to successfully complete related on-the-job training program * Ability to communicate in verbal and written English * Ability to lift 40 lbs. * Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling * Requires eye/hand/foot coordination * Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
