Responsibilities:
Oversee the effective deployment of staff and resources in support of timely and effective customer service by:
* Responding to verbal and electronic service requests;
* Completing work orders that accurately document customer requirements;
* Balancing the work demands and customer needs to efficiently plan and schedule employee work assignments;
* Ensuring employees possess the skills and expertise needed to perform the available work;
* Selecting individuals for specific training and development opportunities to improve functional utilization;
* Ensuring employees are provided with all necessary tools and equipment to perform the work;
* Providing employees with clear communications/information regarding their work assignments;
* Tracking service/work orders, reviewing DTR's and ensuring invoices appropriately capture costs;
* Ensuring collective agreement provisions are consistently applied in the employee/client interaction.
Identify opportunities to increase Company's breadth of services by:
* Developing and maintaining productive and effective relationships with customers;
* Improving customer communication to understand customer business cycle and needs;
* Assisting clients by clarifying necessary resource requirements to meet service requests,
* Effectively and quickly managing issues/conflicts/ priorities related to the planning, scheduling and dispatching of staff and equipment/resources to support a smooth work flow;
* Fully understanding customer requirements by communicating with them on a regular, ongoing basis to address any questions or concerns and to discuss their upcoming needs and to identify new business opportunities. Assisting with departmental budgets and capital planning;
* Ensuring invoices and payroll documentation are correct in order to invoice customer accurately and in a timely manner.
Supervise technical and support staff to ensure effective performance by:
* Ensuring an adequate pipeline of appropriately qualified employees to meet the local work demands;
* Scheduling safety, radiation safety, site pre-screening tests and other required training to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable local workforce;
* Working closely with staff to build staff satisfaction and engagement and reduce employee turnover;
* Conducting performance discussions when unsatisfactory conduct occurs, and performance reviews annually;
* Reporting unusual events or operational challenges to local Manager.

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
* Nuclear Security Clearance and Nuclear Site Experience an asset
* Company's range of technical services and variety of service lines provided in order to appropriately deploy resources;
* An understanding of clients' technical needs to effectively fulfill service requirements;
* Knowledge of equipment needed to perform specific tests and inspections;
* Knowledge of the applicable collective agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
* Effective supervisory skills;
* Solid interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage a broad range of internal and external contacts;
* Proficiency in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel;
* Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills to manage difficult customer interactions;
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
* Consistently demonstrates their understanding of, and compliance with, responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and Company Safety and Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures.
EDUCATION:
* The position requires a minimum of 4 years' of industry-specific experience
* A post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field is preferred.
* Supervisory experience is required.
