Responsibilities:
As our Oncology Acute Nurse, you will help a unique patient population-including medical-surgical, oncology, and telemetry patients-by coordinating, supervising, and implementing evidence-based care so they can receive safe, specialized treatment and achieve the highest level of recovery and patient satisfaction.
Every day you will work on our dynamic 32-bed unit, managing a busy caseload of 4 to 6 patients per shift. You will be expected to utilize cross-training opportunities across medical, surgical, oncology, and monitored telemetry beds, executing precise clinical interventions with a high sense of urgency.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a passionate patient-first mindset, bring keen assessment and critical thinking skills to a fast-paced environment, and thrive in a setting where you will rarely experience the same day twice.
* Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
* Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
We are offering $10K in relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Qualifications:
Required
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
* ACLS certification (in monitored areas)
Preferred
* Chemotherapy certification
* One (1) year of recent acute care experience
* One (1) year of Oncology experience
* BSN Bachelor's Degree of Nursing
