GFT is seeking an Office Engineer to join our Construction Services Group in Region 8, Middletown, NY.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As an Office Engineer, you will play a key role in construction inspection services for culvert rehabilitation and replacement projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience managing federally and state-funded projects while collaborating with experienced engineers to develop expertise in highway construction inspection.

This work is essential to the community, helping to prevent flooding, reduce erosion, protect local ecosystems, and ensure roadways remain open and resilient during extreme weather.

In the capacity, you will be responsible for the following:

* Maintain construction project records.
* Interface with the Resident Engineer and senior inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing.
* Attend project meetings and assist in preparing meeting reports.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly progress reports and maintain project logs.
* Review daily inspection reports and quantity computations.
* Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements.
* Assign tasks and coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.

Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* 4+ years of related experience, previous experience as an Office Engineer
* Experience with Construction Management, Scheduling, and Document Management software(s).
* Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
* OSHA Safety Training.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Valid driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
