Overview: Unique Specialty hospital offering multidisciplinary rehab services to an 18 bed Long Term Acute Care Unit and 29 bed Acute Rehab Unit. Serving a wide variety of diagnosis from acute respiratory therapy , spinal cord injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury this therapy team offers extensive therapy to these patients progressing them to return to their highest level of functionality. POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, under the general supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assists in administering the Occupational Therapists' treatment plan. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: * Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Licensure/Certifications: * State license as Certified Occupation Therapist Assistant and NBCOT registration * CPR certification within 90 days of hire Other skills/knowledge: * Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served * Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information * Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to an Occupational Therapist * Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Valid state driver's license OSF Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
