Overview: Location: 5155 US Hwy 98 S Suite 5C, Lakeland, FL 33812 Schedule: As Needed, Monday-Friday Pay: $30/hr Select Physical Therapy is seeking a per diem COTA to support our outpatient clinic. You'll treat upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, and post-op fractures, working alongside experienced hand therapists and orthopedic surgeons. Responsibilities: * Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients. * Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components * Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services. * Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals * Ensure proper documentation of patient care. * Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies Qualifications: * Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program * National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED * Minimum 1 yr hand therapy experience. In leiu of experence, new grads with fieldwork in hand therapy. * Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification * Valid state driver's license
