Position: Occupational Therapist

Status: Steady Hours PRN/ Per Diem/ Part Time

Compensation: $60/Hr.

Location: Newark, Delaware

Center: Newark Manor - NovaCare Rehabilitation

Setting: Long Term Care (LTC)

NovaCare in Newark Delaware is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our long term care (LTC) facility, Newark Manor. This is ideal for an experienced OT who can offer steady weekday hours treating four or eight hour shifts three days per week (Mon-Fri) up to 24 hours.

NovaCare Rehabilitation has partnered with Newark Manor, a LTC facility, minutes from our outpatient location. We are seeking OTs with relative SNF / LTC/ ALF experience for steady weekday coverage. This is an hourly position and we are OK with new graduates who can offer steady and consistent hours during the week (8AM - 4 PM). We cannot offer full time hours at present. We are seeking steady part time / PRN hours during the week with a rare half day Saturday.

We are unable to offer benefits if you are working less than full time hours but you CAN participate in our CEU accrediting courses both in-person and online library

Responsibilities:

* Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how Occupational Therapists may practice and whom Occupational Therapists may supervise. 
* Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician. 
* Responsible for the supervision and delegation of occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations. 
* Demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner. 
* Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs. 
* Enhances, develops, and expands relationships with referral sources and maintains a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients.

Qualifications:

* Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy
* National registration and state licensure REQUIRED
* Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
* Valid state driver's license
