				Overview:

St. Luke's Health - Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, TX, is dedicated to enhancing your health and well-being. Our facility is a collaboration between St. Luke's Health and a team of specialized physicians-focused on General and Interventional Cardiology, Sports Medicine, and Orthopedics, including Total Joint Replacement and Spine Care. 

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Market Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, and provides therapeutic intervention for individuals identified with disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities. 

Position Responsibilities: 

* Evaluates, plans, and implements occupational therapy treatment programs according to physician referral and plan of care. 
* Performs evaluations, tests, and measurements of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cognitive/perceptual, and sensory /psychological functions.
* Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to assure patients needs are met in a timely manner.
* Completes all necessary documentation as outlined by departmental policy and documentation review. This includes, but is not limited to patient care charting, charge entry, completing peer chart and peer reviews, and documenting on daily schedule.
* Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to assure patients and customer's needs are met in a timely manner. 

We are offering a $10,000 Sign On Bonus to new hires that meet the eligibility requirements. 

Qualifications:

Required

* Bachelor's degree - Occupational Therapy

* Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners- OT (ECPTOTE)
* BLS certification (through an approved AHA program) 
* *If initial licensure has OTR designation: Registered OT through National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Preferred

* Advanced degree (Master's degree, or Doctorate degree) in Occupational Therapy or related field
* Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Texas Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA)
* Registered OT through National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
* 2-3 years of professional experience as an OT
