Founded in 1955, Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is a 394-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located. Serving over 80,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, heart care, cancer care and women's health. Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.
Every day, you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.
To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree required.
* Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy holding a baccalaureate degree or higher.
* Academic curriculum will include coursework on growth & development, gerontology & therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric populations.
* New applicants must present documentation of continuing education or experience. Upon annual appraisal, must demonstrate participation in external continuing education required.
* Occupational Therapist (OT License) required.
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) required.
* Fire Safety (within 90 Days of start date) required.
