What You Can Expect as an Occupational Therapist for Inpatient Rehab:
* Flex Schedule: 2-3 10 (ten) hour shifts per 2-week pay period; weekend availability
* Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams at the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital
* Working daily with a diverse caseload of patients with various levels of acuity
* Certification and shift differential available

Qualifications:
* Education: Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Valid license to practice occupational therapy in state of practice and;
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
Responsibilities:
Occupational Therapists (OTs) are health care professionals who develop, improve, sustain, or restore independence in activities required in daily life to any person who has an injury, illness, disability, or psychological dysfunction. Occupational Therapist - Intermediate Level performs all duties including technical skills in screening, evaluation, assessment, program planning, intervention and preventative care, at the full performance level.
* Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive evaluation including, but not limited to, collecting subjective and objective data, analysis of data, and creation of treatment plan.
* Administers interventions consistent with treatment plan based on evidence based best practice, provider protocol and governing standards.
* Follows policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.
* Document care based on standards of practice, patient acuity and/or clinical priorities.
* Maintain professional relationships and convey relevant information to other members of the healthcare team within facility and any applicable referral agencies.
* Maintain patient confidence and protects organization operations by keeping information confidential.
* Independently manages the care of patients with conditions common to the unit/area of assignment. Exercises initiative and independent judgment. Manages caseload and maintains productivity standards for unit consistently.
* Serve as clinical mentor, as appropriate.
* Direct the work of aides and assistants, as appropriate. Where applicable, may include coordination of the Swing Bed activities program for Critical Access Hospitals.
* Identifies opportunities for program improvement and seeks appropriate guidance for implementing change.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
