Responsibilities:

4- 10 hr shifts variable days

As a Staff OR Specialist Radiologic Technologist, you will perform high-quality departmental and portable radiographic examinations for diverse patient populations (pediatrics to geriatrics). You will expertly assist Radiologists or Surgeons during procedures, producing high-quality images.

Key responsibilities include:

* Patient & Exam Accuracy: Using two patient identifiers, verifying doctor's orders, performing correct exams, and ensuring all required anatomy is captured.
* Workflow & Prioritization: Demonstrating proficiency in PACS, prioritizing workload, coordinating multiple exams, and assessing orders/diagnoses for optimal imaging.
* Patient Care & Communication: Assessing patient condition, comfort, and safety; reporting changes to physicians; and communicating accurate patient information to peers, physicians, and other departments.
* Equipment Expertise: Safely operating all diagnostic, computer, and communication equipment.
* Surgical Support: Demonstrating advanced proficiency in running C-Arm for complex orthopedic and neuro surgeries, and O-Arm for neuro and spine surgeries. You will manage the main surgery pager to organize and prioritize staff responses for surgical cases.
* Training & Development: Willingness and ability to train other radiologic technologists on C-Arm and O-Arm operations for complicated orthopedic cases.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
For currently employed student technologists, within 60 days of graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered/registry eligible
Must be registered within 1 year of hiring
