Overview: At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities: What You'll Do * Assist in the admission discharge and transfer process of patients. * Set up tables instruments and supplies required for cesarean sections vaginal deliveries and circumcisions; maintaining sterile technique. * Respond to patient calls anticipate their needs and assure their safety and comfort through regular rounds environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures. * Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms. * Assist in the preparation and draping of the patient and operative area. * Prepare pass and maintain a correct count of instruments sutures sponges and supplies utilized during the operative procedure. * Maintain surgical instruments by ensuring proper washing packaging sterilization and storage. Qualifications: * BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association required upon hire. * CNA Certification or Surgical Technologist course completion required. * Experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred.
