As a Surgical Tech at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region you will:

* Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. 
* Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. 
* Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. 
* Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit. 
* Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. 
* Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned. 
* Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Required qualifications:

* Completion of a Surgical Tech program required
* Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) 
* High School graduate or GED
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Preferred:

* One-year patient care experience preferred

Physical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Schedule: This is a full time 36-hour per week nights position. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.
