Are you passionate about providing excellent service and understand the importance of quality nutrition in a healthcare setting? Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is looking for a caring and detail-oriented Nutrition Assistant to join our fantastic Food Services team!

As a Nutrition Assistant, you'll be involved in:
* Nourishing Patients & Guests: Playing a key role in preparing, portioning, and serving delicious and aesthetically pleasing meals according to menu and dietary guidelines.
* Ensuring Safety: Adhering strictly to healthcare food service standards, including temperature monitoring, cross-contamination prevention, proper hygiene, and maintaining clear labeling and storage.
* Customer Experience Champion: Providing excellent customer service, understanding recipe ingredients to answer allergy questions, and ensuring a positive meal experience.
* Dynamic Responsibilities: Potentially assisting with a variety of tasks such as:
* Cashiering and retail service
* Assembling, delivering, and retrieving patient trays
* Cold food preparation
* Dishwashing and equipment maintenance
* Catering support
* Inventory assistance
* General cleaning to maintain a pristine environment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/Certification
* Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe(r) Allergen and Food Service Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
* Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days of hire date.
