Responsibilities:

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nutrition Assistant I to join our Dietary team. This role is essential in providing high-quality nutritional care to our residents and patients. 

Responsibilities:

* Assist with meal preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving food.
* Follow established recipes and dietary guidelines.
* Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.
* Assist with food inventory and ordering.
* Provide excellent customer service to visitors and patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
* Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and other dietary staff to ensure smooth operations.
* Assist with special dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and therapeutic diets.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications:

* High School Graduate or GED required.
* Fire Safety card, within 90 Days
