Overview: Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Relief Charge Nurse Hours - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Join Our Surgical Services Leadership Team. Across our three Quad Cities campuses, Surgical Services delivers exceptional care in a state-of-the-art environment featuring 16 operating rooms, two dedicated open-heart suites, and two specialized urology rooms. Our teams support a wide range of procedures, including cardiothoracic, vascular, robotic, orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, podiatry, and cataract surgery. This fast-paced setting offers advanced technology, diverse clinical experiences, and a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on outstanding patient outcomes. Under the direction of the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, this leadership role provides clinical oversight across the Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, and Endoscopy at our Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline campuses. You will help ensure seamless 24/7 operations while promoting safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care through strong clinical judgment and decisive leadership. #HotJobs Responsibilities: * Lead talent management efforts, including hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and staff development initiatives. * Provide timely, constructive feedback and implement action plans to address performance gaps and team "fit" concerns. * Support financial stewardship by monitoring case/visit costs, reviewing invoices, and identifying opportunities to improve revenue and reduce expenses. * Ensure accurate charge capture and timely documentation by training, monitoring, and supporting staff in proper charting and corrections. * Maintain 50% clinical staffing responsibilities while supervising nursing and patient care activities within scope of practice. * Promote clinical excellence by monitoring patient care delivery, ensuring adherence to hospital guidelines, and validating compliance with physician orders. * Drive patient satisfaction and safety by anticipating barriers, implementing improvement strategies, and achieving established safety goals. * Ensure regulatory and organizational compliance, including adherence to UnityPoint Health values, HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other federal/state requirements, while maintaining required licensure and certifications. Qualifications: Education: * Diploma from an RN program. Experience: * Three years acute care experience. License(s)/Certification(s): * Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. * Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. * Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Must possess and maintain ACLS *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
