Responsibilities: The Pre-OP and PACU departments at Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Regional Medical Center are a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. As a Pre-OP/PACU nurse with us, you are expected to apply your nursing knowledge and skills in the recovery room and it doesn't stop there. Most patients never realize the part you played in getting them through one of their most vulnerable moments. Honoring your commitment to care for others is thanks enough. Responsibilities: * Develops the plan of care, including the discharge process * Coordinates all aspects of patient preparation before the day of surgery * Provides thorough pre-operative pain management education for patient/family education * Provides appropriate patient/family education based on learning needs Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days.
