One California Responsibilities: Day Full Time Nurse Shift Manager PACU We are a 12 bed PACU of a level 2 trauma facility. The PACU department recovers patients from our inpatient and outpatient services, ranging from general surgery, bariatric, orthopedics, and pediatric services. We recover and discharge patients to include educating families and patients. Our unit is a fast paced environment designed to support up to 10 working OR's 24 hours a day. Position Summary: Our Nurse Shift Manager positions give you the opportunity to expand your leadership skills. * Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level. * Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. * Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them. * Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts. Qualifications: Education and Experience: * Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN). * Minimum of two (2) years of clinical (critical care / PACU) experience as a Registered Nurse. * Current Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field preferred * Completion of Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire Licensure: * Current CA RN licensure * Current BLS, ACLS and PALS from the American Heart Association
