We are hiring for a Children's Perioperative Clinic team at the Children's Pavilion in Boise!

What You Can Expect:

In this Nurse Navigator role with the Children's Perioperative Clinic, you will play a key part in preparing pediatric patients for surgery by providing direct clinical care and personalized patient navigation. You'll serve as a critical liaison between families, providers, and the surgical team-ensuring patients are optimized for their procedure and families feel informed and supported every step of the way. In addition to pre-operative coordination, you'll also support complex pediatric patients transitioning from inpatient care back to the ambulatory setting, helping ensure a smooth, safe, and well-communicated discharge and follow-up plan. This role is ideal for an experienced, compassionate RN who thrives in collaborative, detail-oriented environments and is passionate about making a difference in a child's surgical journey.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a-5p or variable upon discussion 

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelors of Nursing Degree
* Experience: 2 years's of RN experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a surgical practice is a plus

Responsibilities:

The Nurse Navigator offers medical guidance, acts as a support group, and guides patients and their families through the treatment process.

* Serves as a single point of contact for patients undergoing treatment,. 

* Serves as a liaison between the patient and their family and the patient's network of care providers. 

* Educates patient on diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis. 

* Assists the patient in scheduling appointments, completing paperwork, or securing referrals. 

* Facilitates short term and/or long term interventions. 

* Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. 

* Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. 

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
