Responsibilities:

Job Summary / Purpose
The Manager PACU Recovery oversees the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), ensuring high-quality patient care
and coordination of all related services. They lead the staff in preparing patients for surgery through assessment,
diagnostics, and education, while also contributing to the development and implementation of departmental
policies and procedures. They are responsible for providing quality patient outcomes and fostering a positive and
efficient work environment.

Essential Function
Supervise personnel in the PACU.
Coordinate patient care and related supporting services.
Promote a cooperative staff effort to provide high-quality patient care and achieve positive patient outcomes.
Assist with the daily implementation of the surgical schedule.
Allocate and complete assigned functions in the daily operation of the Surgery Department.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals.
Provide leadership and mentorship to staff.
Ensure patient/family satisfaction through appropriate communication and environment maintained during the
perioperative experience by promoting a healing environment.
Ensure continued potential for service growth.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelors Of Science Graduate of an accredited Nursing program

Two Years of Clinical Experience Required and Five years of Clinical Experience Preferred

Licensure and Certifications

Registered Nurse: TN (RN:TN) N/A upon hire Required and

Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) N/A upon hire Required and

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) N/A upon hire Required and

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) N/A upon hire Required

Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) N/A upon hire Preferred
