Responsibilities:
As our Manager, Emergency Services, you will hold primary responsibility for the administrative direction and control of assigned departments, including patient services and nursing practice, serving as the key clinical and business development resource for your service line.
Every day you will operationalize strategic initiatives across the continuum, ensuring seamless execution. You will also actively participate in the organization's decision-making structure alongside leaders from the governing body, management, medical staff, and clinical areas.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership in emergency services management, exceptional business acumen in operationalizing strategic initiatives, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
* Identify and participate in the establishment of Nursing and ancillary staff development programs to support the necessary skills needed to provide outstanding care to the patient population of CHI Memorial.
* Participate in the establishment and annual assurance of competencies for all patient care staff and monitor on an ongoing basis.
* Establish and maintain high levels of physician satisfaction for all services provided.
* Participate in the development and implementation of plans for nurse recruitment and retention.
* Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction.
* Meet the compliance standards of various regulatory bodies which affect the provision of services, to include the Joint Commission, life safety, state, federal and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
Required
* Bachelor Of Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire and
* Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience
* Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire and
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months and
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months
Preferred
* 1-3 years Two years in charge or leadership position within the last five years in a hospital setting and
* 4-6 years Five years recent nursing experience and
* Bachelors Other and to be enrolled in a bridge program within the first year and
* Prior leadership experience
