Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Cardiology Manager and Director, the Cardiovascular Database Assistant works in collaboration with the Database Coordinator. This position is accountable for data collection, data entry, and ensuring accuracy of external Cardiovascular Data Registries, including, but not limited to, American College of Cardiology (ACC), Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), and ICD.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Three years experience in a Cardiovascular clinical area
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
* RN - Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada
* Computer proficiency required. Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint essential. Google sheets, docs, slides essential
* Possesses information technology skills related to computer applications, spreadsheets, and data
* Can present their data in a reliable and easily understood format using charts, graph, and a variety of software summaries
* Requires good written, verbal, typing and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manages work within time frames
* Must have working knowledge of personal computer applications, spreadsheets and basic statistical data
* Responsible for highly confidential information
* Must be able to apply judgement skills in prioritizing workload responsibilities
* Must be able to cross train job duties where applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1 year experience in a Cardiovascular Surgical area or Cath Lab area
* Minimum 1 year experience working with a database
* Ability to use quality tools (flowchart, run charts, control charts)
* Proficient with statistical process control tools
