Responsibilities:

Demonstrates competency for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Performs diagnostic procedures in the field of nuclear medicine as assigned by a physician and administrative tasks. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure.

As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides. Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety. To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Nuclear Medical Technologist: CA (NMTL:CA)
* Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
* Medical terminology relating to nuclear medicine
* Principles of operation and care of nuclear medicine equipment
* Currently accepted diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
* Radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator, patient and public
* Mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment
