Overview: Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Dignity Health Chandler Regional, Mercy Gilbert, and Arizona General Hospital Mesa awarded $422,000 in grants to support five community projects led by 15 local organizations. Since 1991, Dignity Health's Community Health Improvement Grants program has provided $91 million to nearly 3,800 health projects, focusing on vulnerable and underserved populations. Responsibilities: As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides. Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety. To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential. * Performs exams based on patient anatomy and body habitus. * Displays a thorough knowledge of anatomy, positioning and of various isotopes utilized. Displays competency injecting isotopes, if required. Updates patient examination history file, records unusual conditions/limitations, documents examination time, room number and technique factors. Completes examination and billing procedures as required. * Accurately marks all images with appropriate orientation and position. Assures that the patient information is clearly visible. Performs visual preventive safety inspections. Reports misadministration or isotope spills to appropriate personnel. * Adheres to federal and state regulations that govern Nuclear Medicine at all times. Stays abreast of regulatory changes by attending mandatory competency evaluations, Physicist Education sessions, and other required educational courses. * The job summary and responsibilities listed above are designed to indicate the general nature of the work performed within this job.
