What You Can Expect: * Salaried position working 7 on 7 off nights * On Call-only work if you're called in but still earn your entire salary * Innovative and Night Shift Differential * Over 170 days off per year * SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE * Career advancement opportunities Qualifications: * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent * Experience: 1 year experience * License/Certification: R EEG T and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification Responsibilities: The Neurodiagnostic Tech 2 is responsible for the administration of electroencephalograms to measure brain wave characteristics for use by physicians in diagnosing brain disorders. * Performs set-up and application of electrodes for electrophysiological monitoring. * Performs all modalities of EEG independently. * Possesses strong, well-developed communication skills. * Provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to the facility policy and procedures. * Quickly assesses emergencies during prolonged seizures; performs CPR and safety/infection control, electrical safety control, and adheres to specified guidelines. * Schedules and performs all clinical neurodiagnostic testing modalities; alerts supervisor and physicians promptly during procedures indicating possible life-threatening emergencies (i.e., subclinical status epilepticus). * Uses neurodiagnostic equipment including electroencephalograms and CCTV-EEG. * Operates medical center equipment such as computers, paging systems, telephones, intercoms, fax machines, copy machines, and printers in order to perform the duties of the job. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent * Experience: 1 year experience * License/Certification: R EEG T and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
