The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

We're hiring a Night Auditor to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!

Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for daily balancing of room charges and credit cards with both the OPERA & Simphony POS systems. Also, ensures a high-level of guest service by greeting and registering guests, checking out guests, taking reservations, ensuring billing accuracy, and answering/directing phone calls. This position works overnight shifts.

Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.05/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 nights per week (will include weekends, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

* Reconcile and verify that all charges and credits balance with the OPERA property management system and Simphony POS system.
* Compile information for the daily report and complete as directed, taking responsibility for accuracy.
* Audit reservations to ensure proper market segmentation coding, guest billing, guest information and rates.
* Understand and be prepared to follow all hotel emergency and safety procedures.
* Receive all guests and other visitors in a positive, friendly, and professional manner.
* Manage and resolve all guest complaints, compliments and requests in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
* Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
* Provide ongoing communication to Assistant Front Office Manager, Front Office Manager, Rooms Director, and specified accounting personnel regarding guest issues, recovery actions, and procedural opportunities.
* Answer phones in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner.
* Keep an accurate bank while receiving cash and giving change per cash handling policies.
* Take reservations as needed, with a focus on maximizing occupancy and ADR by utilizing a flexible rate structure.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Strong mathematical skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Must adhere to grooming standards. 
* Experience with OPERA and Simphony preferred but not required.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Night Audit and/or front office experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements include:

* Ability to work seated or standing for up to 8 hours per shift.
* Be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
* Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
