What You'll Get To Do

This position is responsible for managing customer relationships and development of new business in AI & Data Infrastructure space with focus in global technology companies. Collaboration with the relevant domains sales and marketing groups, coordination with Japan based Product Teams and global leadership of the sales companies will be a key to success. Creation of on-going global revenue opportunities and leading new product development are the primary goal.

New Product Creation

* Identify new business opportunities and present appropriate solutions/technologies 
* Develop key relationships with OEM decision makers
* Promote R&D projects with targeted OEM's and Japan to jointly develop future technologies.
* Utilize contacts and in-depth technical knowledge of Panasonic product lineup to exploit advantages of Panasonic products
* Obtain information on technical trends and provide feedback + guidance to relevant product/factory teams
* Develop go-to market strategy for new products

Account and Program Management for established OEMs

* Collaboration with regional sales reps to ensure overall success of key programs.
* Follow up and maintain contacts with regular technology and business updates to OEMs.
* Grasp customer roadmap, future trend, obtain BOM, and understand/summarize circuit design.
* Maximize near term revenue through RFQ negotiations.

Marketing

* Grasp Industry trend and act as technical advisor of the group 
* Gather and communicate market information, competitive information, and technical/business trend.
* Advise sales, product, management and R&D team regarding business and technical topics and trend to assist in product/strategy development.
* Analyze technical trends, market demand, and potential customers.

Development of Business Plan

* Development of Business Plan including but not limited to sales strategies, business metrics, relationship plans, and KSF (Key Success Factor).

Administrative

* Write activity reports and distribute as required.
* Document customer visits on call reports.
* Operate effectively in a complex organization. Gain the support of sponsors, champions, and other stakeholders to achieve objectives.
* Collaborate with management, peers, colleagues, business units and other stakeholders.
* Represent Panasonic values in a professional and competent manner internally and when working with customers, partners, conferences, and other internal and external interactions.
* Exercise financial responsibility in terms of travel and other expenditures.

Scope

* This position will not manage direct reports.

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring

Required Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electro-mechanical engineering
* More than 5 years of experience in hardware engineering, product management or business development roles
* Significant experience winning large-scale global technology projects
* In-depth knowledge of AI/Data Infrastructure market and supply chain ecosystem
* Experience working for or selling to major tech firms
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with a strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
* Valid driver's license; must have or be able to obtain valid passport with no travel restrictions.

Preferred Education & Experience: 

* More than 10 years of experience in hardware engineering, product management or business development roles
* Multilingual, Japanese/Mandarin Chinese preferred
* Experience in working in or with a Japanese company

Other Requirements:

* Up to 30% overnight, out-of-office travel (domestic and international)
* Candidates must be located in either Mountain View, CA, Austin, Tx. or Redmond Wa.  If you are located in Mountain View or Redmond we may ask for you to come into the office..

The wage range of $120,000 - $135,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
