Novant Health Neurosciences Institute is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Spine Neurosurgeon or Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join a well-established Spine Neurosurgery/ Orthopedic Spine practice in Winston-Salem, NC. The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained and experienced in General and Complex Spine surgery; additional Minimally Invasive Spine experience welcomed. In addition to surgical experience, preferred candidates will focus on delivering excellent quality and value-based care, eager to develop community and provider relationships to quickly grow a practice, and practice with a collaborating and affable attitude towards physicians, leaders, and staff.  Must be able to partner well in our interdisciplinary Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine Surgery, and Pain Management Program.  Neurosurgery candidate will be expected to participate in cranial call responsibilities with the Neurosurgical team functioning as a Level-3 Trauma Center; spine call will be shared equally between Neurosurgical and Orthopedic Spine team.

This position and practice are affiliated with Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center; a 921-bed not-for-profit tertiary care facility with Magnet(r) designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center was the first Primary Stroke Center in North Carolina certified by The Joint Commission and is a Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Elite Plus and Target: Stroke Advanced Therapy award winner for stroke performance measures from the American Heart and Stroke Association.

* Spine Navigation Equipment including O-Arm and Navigation
* Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Suites for Spine Surgery.
* Integrated Pain Management Program.
* Outpatient Office centered in our multidisciplinary Brain & Spine Institute location co-housing Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Pain Management, Neurology, rehab, EMG/NCV testing and Xray-imaging for efficient patient care; other regional offices also primed for growth and expansion.
* Participation in a system wide Spine Registry.
* Inpatient Spine Unit dedicated to delivering excellent patient care.
* A stroke center equipped with a 20-bed neuro ICU, 43-neuro bed stroke unit, 24/7 neurology coverage, on-call neuro intervention, and vascular neurosurgery. 
* Well established inpatient neurology practice with supportive, collegial relationships with emergency medicine, inpatient internal medicine, heart and vascular, neurosurgery, neurointensivists, neurohospitalists, and interventional radiology teams.
