Minimum Salary:  $98,000 annually

Responsibilities:

The Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time psychologist with special interest in neurorehabilitation. Duties include assessments that span brief bedside evaluations to comprehensive neuropsychological batteries, psychotherapy, patient/family education and cross-disciplinary team consultation. Opportunities also exist for clinical research and program development across a range of populations. There is support for those wishing to pursue training and supervision of trainees.

This new, full-time position is part of growth within BSWIR - Dallas, located on the Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) campus just east of downtown Dallas. This campus houses the flagship rehabilitation hospital - a 92-bed facility specializing in the treatment of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke and other conditions - the post-acute neurorehabilitation day program for acquired brain injuries, post-acute spinal cord injury day program, post-acute transitional/residential center and outpatient neurorehabilitation services. BSWIR - Dallas is nationally ranked as one of the best rehabilitation hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek.

As a TBI and SCI Model System, BSWIR - Dallas is a leader (one of 10 in the nation) in conducting innovative, patient-centered research and education programs that lead to the highest quality outcomes in patient care. The research program is funded through multiple federal grants and contracts from the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, Department of Defense, Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute and National Institutes of Health. Thematic areas of research include evidence-based trauma focused psychotherapy after SCI, gait recovery using exoskeletons, diabetes prevention for people with acquired brain injury, neuromodulation as a mechanism to understanding recovery, and outcomes and assessment of intimate partner violence.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

* 
* PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA approved program in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Health Psychology
* Completion of an APA accredited internship
* Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship with emphasis in Rehabilitation Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
* Eligibility for board certification in Rehabilitation Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
* Licensed or license eligible in the state of Texas
