Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary and Neurodiagnostic Services Manager for Mercy General Hospital and the Medical Director for Neurodiagnostic Service, the candidate must be proficient in EEG and evoked potential testing of the neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
 
This position requires at least 3 years experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician or a combination of education and experience which provides for the knowledge, skills and abilities of the job. 
Associate of Science Degree from an accredited College with a major in neurodiagnostics, biomedical technology or general science.
Special skills required for the position include the knowledge of: all aspects of neurological testing; EEG and evoked potential procedure techniques; CQI techniques and principles; motivation and morale principles; the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy; computers and databases.
Candidates must also have the ability to: communicate effectively with physicians, patients, nursing staff, department heads and administrative personnel; track preventative maintenance needs of all departmental equipment; organize work and adjust priorities accordingly.
