Boost Mobile is seeking a Network Surveillance Engineer I to support DISH' 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC). This role plays a critical part in ensuring network stability by monitoring the 5G RAN infrastructure, identifying incidents, and performing initial troubleshooting to restore service efficiently. The NS Engineer will operate with urgency and precision, escalating issues to Tier II teams when necessary and supporting end-to-end monitoring and resolution across the 5G ORAN platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor RAN EMS and observability tools to ensure real-time network health and availability above 99.50%.
* Identify, prioritize, and manage incidents via ServiceNow, including documentation, impact assessment, and backlog maintenance.
* Lead market chat interactions, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate support and escalations across FIM, Advanced Ops, Engineering, and Vendors.
* Conduct post-maintenance site health checks and CR validations to ensure service integrity.
* Oversee outage and emergency response in line with assurance KPIs, SLAs, and customer escalation protocols.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., RF, Deployment, Tech Dev, Core, Cloud Infra) to resolve network and CXO issues within SLA.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
* 2+ years of experience in the telecommunications or wireless industry
Skills and Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience in managing 4G/5G NOC shift operations and performing network troubleshooting activities
* Proven ability to organize and prioritize dynamic workloads, manage shift responsibilities, and drive incident resolution with urgency and efficiency
* Strong understanding of 5G architecture, including Core, RAN, Transport, PaaS, and gNB configurations
* Self-motivated and eager to understand complex technical issues with a strong drive to troubleshoot and resolve them independently or collaboratively
