Responsibilities:

* Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members.
* Ability to work in a team environment or independently with little guidance.
* Manage work queue with appropriate prioritization.
* Participate in design reviews and contribute towards building scalable and extensible network architectures
* Triage user requests and manage work queue with appropriate prioritization
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configurations for the core network and customers.
* Create project plans, design, and implement solutions.
* Evaluates, recommends, and implements strategies for firewalls
* Maintains advanced knowledge in most areas of network hardware/software interconnections and interfaces (such as LAN/WAN equipment and services, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and VPN.
* Identify, diagnose, and resolve difficult network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. using available network tools in a timely fashion.
* Provides escalated support for Associate Network Engineers and act as a senior technical lead
* Interface with third party vendors as liaison between client and vendor.
* Work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborates with other IT staff.
* Participate in upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as needed.
* Communicate effectively with Internal Teams and represent the team effectively and independently
* Ability to learn new technologies and translate into working processes
* Demonstrated ability to advance project timelines and effectively communicate status updates to stakeholders
* Ability to communicate with other team members to cross-train on problem resolution.
* Ability to provide project leadership or work with project leaders in a technical leadership capacity to ensure success of projects.
* Ability to lead team on technical issues
* Ability to work on multiple projects, each with specific requirements that may differ from project to project.

Qualifications:

* 5 - 7 years of experience in network industry
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent or equivalent industry experience
* CCNP or CCIE or other industry certifications are a plus
