Job Title: Network Engineering Support
Location: Remote, GA
Responsibilities:
The Network Engineering Support position shall be responsible for:
* Primarily responsible for the systems engineering architecture, design, development, and integration of the WIN-T network. Involves understanding all user requirements, architecture compliance, key elements, issues and engineering aspects of the SATCOM AN/TSC 198 VSAT systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of current force/future C4ISR networks is required.
* Knowledge of DODAF, Integrated Support Plan (ISP) and Support Engineering Plan (SEP).
* Strong Visio, BPT and presentation skills.
* Coordinate technology insertion efforts.
* Analyze industry trends and emerging technology application to the program baseline.
* Interface regularly with industry partners to ensure the prime contractor is providing the most advanced technology to the Warfighter.
* Knowledge and understanding current/future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks, as well as the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems.
* Responsible for the engineering design, installation, operation and maintenance of the WIN-T network.
* Support technical tasks in the integration of Data/Voice/Video/Telephony in the WIN-T Network, engineering and technical documentation and assistance in the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software/hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise at fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural/interoperability support, and quality engineering.
* Support technology insertion testing relative to emerging WIN-T Networks requirements and capabilities.
* In-depth knowledge of complex LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways and firewalls.
* In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as Routing Information Protocol (RIP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
* Shall have strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like Multi-Schedule Private Line Service Tariffs (MPLS), Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), MLA Virtual Private Network (VPNs) and Traffic Engineering Duties involve among others, management of local and wide area network, projects, and installation of new devices, system and on-going maintenance of infrastructure.
* Prefer a Cisco certifications Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
* Experience with Wireless, Riverbeds, Call Manager Express.
* Be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
* Able to travel CONUS/OCONUS to support the mission 50% or more.
Qualifications:
* An Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret Clearance
* Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
* A minimum of six (6) years of in-depth knowledge of complex LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways, and firewalls.
* In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as Routing Information Protocol (RIP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
