				Overview:

Responsible for administering AmTrust's global firewall and network infrastructure in order to meet business objectives. This position will have a primary role in supporting the enterprise firewall infrastructure and intrusion detection system by implementing security controls which safeguard enterprise applications and data.

Responsibilities:

  Administer and support enterprise-wide firewall architecture, ensuring robust perimeter defense and traffic control.

  Design and maintain high-level and low-level network security diagrams for data centers, DMZs, and external connectivity.

  Implement industry-standard security measures and best practices using network security tools to safeguard the corporate environment.

  Proactively identify risk vectors and recommend effective solutions to strengthen the firewall infrastructure.

  Review, analyze, and audit submitted access requests to for firewall policy adjustment, ensuring alignment with corporate security policies and standards.

  Perform tuning and management of URL Filtering, Network IPS/IDS signatures, and maintain platform-specific security baselines.

  Collaborate with the Security team to investigate and respond to security incidents, including unauthorized access, malware threats, and policy violations.

  Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in network and cybersecurity.

  Provide occasional off-hours support for critical updates or incident response, as needed.

  Foster strong collaboration and communication within the IT and Security teams.

  Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and network configurations; generate reports as required.

Qualifications:

  Minimum of 3 years of professional experience managing enterprise firewall environments.

  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networking, dynamic routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP), DMZ design, packet flow analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies.

  Proven hands-on experience with firewall administration, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, remote access solutions, IPSEC & SSL VPNs, DNS, and internet proxy technologies.

  Direct experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and F5 technologies (preferred).

  Demonstrated ability to assess complex network security risks and make data-driven decisions.

  High level of integrity and respect for confidential and sensitive information.

  Excellent time management, task prioritization, and organizational skill
