Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS BY LEVEL:

* SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR III

* Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration
* Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work
* Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization
* Provides in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems
* Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues
* May resolve problems within established practices
* Provides detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
* Supports the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
* Directs and possesses a working knowledge and understanding of systems administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
* Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
* Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software
* Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* I-IV: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
* ITIL v4
*  IAT-II
* Education/experience in one of the following: SQL, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware, Linux

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BY LEVEL:

* III: 7 - 12 Years 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

* Sitting for long periods
* Standing for long periods
* Ambulate throughout an office
* Ambulate between several buildings
* Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
* Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 25 pounds
* Travel by land or air transportation 15%
