Overview: Neonatologist Opportunity - Coastal Virginia (Just One Hour from the Atlantic Ocean!) Responsibilities: Pediatrix is seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to join our growing team at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. This established practice includes three neonatologists and two NNPs, providing high-quality care in a collaborative environment. Position Highlights * 8-bed Level IIIA NICU with an active newborn service * 1,800 annual deliveries and increasing * Exciting future expansion: a new 47,000 sq. ft. BirthPlace, including a relocated NICU with 13 single-occupancy NICU beds * Responsibilities include prenatal consultations, NICU and newborn coverage, and delivery attendance * Balanced coverage model with a mix of in-house and at-home call, supported by experienced NNPs and PAs * Each neonatologist covers one-third of monthly shifts, allowing for flexible scheduling and a healthy work-life balance * Opportunities available for quality improvement initiatives, administrative roles, and regional collaboration * Leadership experience preferred * J-1 visa sponsorship available About Mary Immaculate Hospital Mary Immaculate Hospital is part of Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the largest neonatology service providers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
