Responsibilities:

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Neonatologist to join our team of 4 Neonatologists and 7 NNPs in Des Moines, IA.

Group covers two hospitals:
 
MercyOne Medical Center:
* a 60-bed Level 3 NICU with an ADC of 42; 24/7 in house coverage, full subspeciality support, care for infants down to 22 weeks gestation, active neonatal transport team.
* M-F Day Shift 10 hours with NNP
* M-F Night Shift 14 hours Neonatologist only 
* Weekends 24 hours Neonatologist only
* ** have discharge coordinator and social worker that round with neonatologist daily
* NNPs have their own team with neonatology oversight
* ** are building our NNP team with aim of having 24/7 NNP coverage as well at our level 3
* 
*  

MercyOne W. Des Moines Medical Center:
* 5 bed Level 2 nursery and NBN; 
* 24/7 in house NNP coverage
* Neonatologist only round at this location in the morning
