Overview: NNP - Tampa Bay/Plant City Grow Your Career in the Heart of the Sunshine State! Responsibilities: Pediatrix(r) Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to become part of our well-established and collaborative team serving Plant City. Position Highlights * Primary Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City - a brand-new, state-of-the-art Level II NICU opened in Spring 2024 * Additional Opportunities: Rotate through the 76-bed Level IV NICU at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa * Schedule: 10 shifts/month, including 16-hour night shifts and 24-hour weekend shifts * Coverage Model: 24/7 in-house delivery room and newborn care across BayCare hospitals * Team-Based Approach: Night coverage provided by either a neonatologist or NNP; normal newborn care supported by both neonatologists and pediatricians * Collaborative Team: 16 neonatologists, 5 neonatal hospitalists, and 14 NNPs serving Hillsborough and Pinellas counties About South Florida Baptist Hospital * 7-bed Level II NICU * Conveniently located in Plant City, midway between Tampa and Lakeland * Part of the trusted BayCare Health System * Modern facility with advanced neonatal care capabilities Why Tampa Bay? * Sun, Sand & Sports: Enjoy world-renowned beaches like Clearwater and St. Pete, plus pro sports teams including the Buccaneers, Rays, and Lightning * Cultural Richness: A vibrant mix of museums, festivals, and culinary experiences-from Cuban to Italian to fresh seafood * Affordable Living: Lower cost of living compared to other major Florida cities * Top Education: Access to excellent public, private, and religious schools, plus the University of South Florida * Outdoor Lifestyle: Year-round activities like boating, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and golfing * Family-Friendly: Parks, playgrounds, and community events make it a great place to raise a family * Ideal Climate: Mild winters (avg. 60 F) and warm summers (avg. 82 F) Qualifications: * Current APRN national specialty certification as an NNP * Minimum of a master's degree
