Overview: Coconut Grove, Miami - Views of Breathtaking Biscayne Bay Newly renovated NICU - Mercy Hospital Responsibilities: Pediatrix(r) Medical Group seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our South Florida team of Neonatologists and NNPs in providing high-quality, compassionate care at both HCA Florida Mercy Hospital and at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. * 12 hour daytime shifts in the NICU at both Mercy Hospital and Nicklaus Children's Hospital * Team of hospitalists cover the newborn nursery About Mercy Hospital: * Mercy Hospital has a 25-bed Level III NICU with an expanding average daily census * Beautiful updated unit opened in 2022 * Unbelievable location in Coconut Grove with incredible views of Biscayne Bay About Nicklaus Children's Hospital: * 40-bed Level IV NICU, one of the few Level IV NICUs in the state of Florida * Provide care for over 800 critically ill newborns each year * Receives newborns referred from other NICUs throughout South Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean * Nicklaus Children's Hospital was featured in the 2023 U.S. News and World Report (USN&WR) rankings of the top 50 "Best Children's Hospitals" - Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida * Recipient of gold level Beacon Award for Excellence in patient care in the NICU, PICU and CICU * One of only two freestanding pediatric hospitals in the nation to have achieved the status of having 3 ICUs awarded gold-level Beacon Awards About Miami/Coconut Grove: * South Florida boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including South Beach, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and boating * Home to several professional sports teams, including the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins and Miami Marlins * Residents from around the world create a unique, vibrant community, with various languages, foods and traditions * Booming nightlife scene, with numerous clubs, bars and restaurants; live music; dancing; and many opportunities to enjoy evenings out * Thriving art and culture scene, with various museums, galleries and cultural events, including the well-known Art Basel festival, attracting worldwide artists and collectors * Known as a shopping paradise with renowned Bal Harbour Shops and Aventura Mall, Miami is a popular shopping destination * Numerous parks and natural preserve offer countless activities throughout the year, such as hiking, biking and kayaking * A gateway to Latin America, providing opportunities to explore new cultures * Nearly a half million residents call Miami home, with a metro populous of 6.2 million * Tropical climate, with warm temperatures year-round - an average high during the summer of 90 F and highs around 76 F in the winter - making it an ideal place to live for those who enjoy being outside year-round Qualifications: * Current APRN national specialty certification as an NNP * Minimum of a master's degree
