Overview: US News & World Report Top Ranked Hospital System - Central Florida Responsibilities: Pediatrix(r) Medical Group seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join its practice at Lake Mary Hospital, the newest addition to the Orlando Health family. * Hospital opened in January 2025 * Annual projected deliveries of 1,000 with an adc in the newborn nursery of 6-7 * Level II NICU projected adc of 5-6 by year end, with 2,000 deliveries and 24/7 coverage * Team of neonatologists, NNPs and Pediatric Hospitalist * Neonatologist onsite 8 hours daily and will take call from home * Must be in a 30 minute on-call response radius * NNP schedule of 12 and 24-hour shifts * Supported by the Orlando Health flagship NICU located at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, a 142-bed, Level-IV NICU About Lake Mary Hospital/Orlando Health: * Lake Mary Hospital opened in January 2025 * 124-bed hospital with a key focus on women's health, including labor and delivery services and a future neonatal intensive care unit * Supported by the Orlando Health flagship NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, a Level IV 142-bed NICU * The Orlando Health hospital system boasts numerous national and international accolades for excellence including "Best Children's Hospital" in neonatology by US News & World Report About the area: * Located 18 miles north of Orlando, Lake Mary is a peaceful, affluent suburb in central Florida * Family oriented with easy access to the area's renowned springs, nature trails and namesake lakes * Featuring "A" rated schools, one of the lowest crime rates in Florida, easy access to major highways, and less than an hour to the white sand beaches in New Smyrna Beach * Nearby Orlando is home to world-famous theme parks Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld * Professional sports teams in the market include the Orlando Magic basketball team and Orlando City Soccer Club * Several highly ranked universities, including the University of Central Florida and Rollins College, along with some excellent public and private schools * Subtropical climate, year-round warm temperatures ranging on average from 59 F in the winter to 81 F in the summer Qualifications: * Current APRN national specialty certification as an NNP * Minimum of a master's degree
