Overview: Make Waves in Neonatal Care - Join our Team in Daytona Beach, Florida Responsibilities: Pediatrix(r) Medical Group is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. * Level-III unit with 14 beds and an average daily census of 8-10 with approximately 2,000 annual deliveries * Care for babies born earlier than 28 weeks and weighing less than 1,000 grams * In addition to 24/7 NNP coverage, there is MFM and OB hospitalist on-site support as well * Halifax Medical Center is involved in VON and Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative Initiatives * Join our NICU and newborn nursery team quality and evidence-based neonatal initiatives * Schedule of 24-hour shifts About the Hospital: * Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach is a 563-bed hospital * The 24-hour emergency department includes the area's only Level II Trauma Center * The Level-III NICU is the only one in the surrounding counties * Founded by the state legislature, it has been in operation for almost 100 years * Halifax Health provides a continuum of healthcare services through a network of organizations including hospitals, urgent care, rehabilitation, hospice, psychiatric and a preferred provider organization About Daytona Beach: * Famous for its beautiful beaches, with 23 miles of pristine shoreline, offering plenty of space to sunbathe, swim, surf, fish and sail * Located on the east coast of Central Florida, about an hour from Orlando * The cost of living is lower than the national average, making it a great place for young professionals and families * Home to Daytona International Speedway, which hosts February's iconic Daytona 500 NASCAR race, dubbed the "Great American Race" * With a rich history dating back to the 1800s, the city offers historic sites, such as Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and the Halifax Historical Museum * The vibrant arts and culture scene offers numerous museums, galleries and theaters * The city hosts several festivals and events throughout the year, including Daytona Beach International Festival and the Halifax Art Festival * A diverse culinary scene offers various restaurants and cafes that serve local and international cuisine * Warm climate throughout the year with an average of 78 F in the summer and 59 F in the winter Qualifications: * Current APRN national specialty certification as an NNP * Minimum of a master's degree
