Responsibilities:

As our National Resident Nurse at Dignity Health YRMC, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you'll bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world nursing practice. You'll work closely with a clinical preceptor to build trust with patients and apply your knowledge in a supportive environment.

* Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals planning and implementing intervention and evaluating patient care outcomes.
* Read analyze and interpret hospital policies and procedures professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. 
* Write reports and procedures and document in the medical record. 
* Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers managers patients physicians family members and the general public. 
* Calculate figures and amounts such as weights dosages flow rates proportions percentages and volume. 
* Apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations. Define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
* Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
* Critically think and problem solve

Qualifications:

Required

* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing required;

* 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience 

* Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state by the cohort start date 2/16/2026

* BLS certification - American Heart Association 

* 2 Letters of recommendation

* Unofficial Transcripts with GPA
* Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided 

* Must be able to complete entire program with a perfect attendance record 

* Must be able to work 3 days per week after completing first 12 weeks 

* Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays 

* Must agree to terms and conditions of the program

Preferred

*  Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) 
* AHA ACLS
