				Responsibilities:

GFT Infrastructure is currently seeking a National Alternative Project Delivery (APD) Leader, who will be responsible for managing the overall execution and procurement processes of all alternative projects in the GFT portfolio.  This position crosses all business lines within GFT, including transportation, water, power, construction services (including EPC) and buildings and places. The option exist to work fully remote to work from any our GFT US Locations.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The National APD leader will coordinate with the GFT business line leaders in the successful implementation of design-build projects, progressive design build projects, integrated project delivery, construction management-at-risk, private-public partnerships, and EPC (engineer-procure-construction.) The successful candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable in all these delivery methods, with "hand-on" experience in several of these delivery methods. The National APD Delivery will also manage the corporate APD Risk portfolio, and work with GFT legal and insurance to guide executive management (CEO and Chief Growth Officer) on the corporate risk generated by APD projects across all business lines.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

* Responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of design on large complex alternative delivery projects nationally.
* Effectively maintain diverse relationships with the Contractor, Owner Representatives, and any number of project stakeholders and influencers.
* Responsible for the Planning, direction, coordination of multi-discipline design staff from multiple business lines in a high intensity environment, often including multi-office execution.
*  Work directly with project controls and scheduling staff to manage the project, analyze Earned Value and Schedule performance, and effectively work with various team interfaces to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
* Responsible along with the business group leader for the overall quality and coordination of the APD work performed, client interface, utilization of staff, reputation and reflection of GFT, contract management, billing collection, and control of project profitability  
* Participates in interviews and presentations as applicable for support and growth of the APD practice nationally.
* Hold weekly APD Risk committee meetings with senior management staff to assess and review prospective APD projects. Coordinate legal reviews of all APD projects and work with BL Group leaders and executive management to give "Go No Go' approvals through stage gate processes.
* Serve as a GFT executive representative at client meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.
* Develops, reviews and obtains confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.
* Assures that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
* Responsible for the leadership, interpretation, organization, execution and coordination of project assignments and managing projects that are larger in scope and complexity
* Work within other subgroups and may interact with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, other consultants, and professional organizations
* Attend national design-build and other APD conferences representing GFT; maintain contractor relationships and coordinate teaming agreements with contractors and fellow consultants on major national and Canadian pursuits.
* Work with GFT Client service leaders (CSL's) and market leaders to maintain critical client relationships with contractors. Work with Chief Growth Officer assisting in client management.

Qualifications:

What you will bring to our firm: 

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering minimum.
* Financial and risk management acumen demonstrated in prior career experience
* Minimum 20 years' experience in complex multi-discipline highway project design management, including one or more Design-Build and/or PPP projects as Design Manager for multi-discipline projects
* Experience in Risk management analysis and techniques, including Monte Carlo analysis desirable.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $250,000 - $415,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
