Overview: Under direction, performs all types of nuclear medicine imaging procedures on patients and assists radiologist in radioactive therapy procedure at both Northlake and Southlake campuses. Provides support, guidance and assistance to the staff in the performance of their job duties. Responsibilities: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions) * Checks the inventory of all supplies and radiopharmaceuticals. * Initiates all work orders for repair of equipment malfunction or failure, and informs supervisor of such at all time. * Maintains documents of all repairs. * Learns, performs and assists in training of other staff member of new procedures and new equipment. * Keeps supervisor informed of concerns or complaints. * Monitors operation and log of daily quality control checks, maintains documentation of all surveys and equipment as required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). * Performs all nuclear medicine procedures at assigned campus, answers questions and provides assistance to staff at other campuses. * Prepares daily schedules and assigns work to the technologist II at both campuses to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately. * Provides care and well-being of all patients in the department. Qualifications: JOB SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum Requirements) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Must be proficient in performing all Nuclear Medicine procedures. * Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills. * Ability to work with minimal supervision, under stressful situations, and in a team environment. * Must be registered by ARRT and/or NMTCB. * Must have an Indiana License. EDUCATION * Bachelors Allied Health-Nuclear Medicine/Radiography Required * 4 Healthcare/Medical - Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) Preferred * 2 Healthcare/Medical - Nuclear Medicine Required * Certified Nuclear Med Tech * Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code.
