Responsibilities:
The position serves as a member of a team supporting the Engineering and Project Management Division (EPMD) at HQ AMC CIO/G-6. The EPMD Division provides the technical expertise for robust, high-quality, agile, and cost-effective solutions in Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Technology (C4IT) to enhance AMC net-centric logistics enterprise. The EPMD Division develops and enforces policies and standards for information technology (IT); identifies where and how technology can systematically support the business processes of AMC's Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs)/Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs), Separate Reporting Activities (SRAs), and HQ operations. The EPMD Division assesses information technologies to determine feasibility to AMC programs; and promotes the compatibility and interoperability of computer and communications systems throughout the AMC enterprise. A wide range of support services include information technologies, architecture development, systems integration, engineering and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Supports a wide range of projects encompassing all systems in a large enterprise.
* Defines architecture, system, and network requirements (hardware and software), as well as supports planning and architecture development.
* Works closely with other system engineers to develop service capabilities to bring those capabilities to reality.
* Must possess an understanding of the technical aspects of systems and networks vulnerabilities required in order to provide oversight of development activities and provides technical advice to the customer.
* Proposes networking and system environments by performing a detailed analysis, developing architecture, and analyzing system configuration while adhering to system and Army Information Assurance (IA) standards.
* Collaborates with cross-functional team members to develop project technical documentation, identify missing topics and fill gaps in existing information.
* Participates in the development of technical documentation and provides comments and suggests improvements while maintaining configuration control over the documentation.
* Reviews objectives and assignment details with higher level staff to insure thorough understanding.
* Uses judgment in selecting among authorized procedures and seeks assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise.
* Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
