Job Purpose:

As a NASS Sr. Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our field service teams. Your primary focus will be on equipping technicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively install, troubleshoot, test and conduct maintenance of substation equipment to include, but not limited to, transformers and all its components, breakers, CT's, PTs, load tap changers, test equipment and computerized control equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and Deliver Training Programs:
* Create comprehensive training curriculum for the specified equipment, ensuring coverage of theoretical knowledge and practical application. 
* Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for field service technicians.

* Hands-On Training:
* Provide hands-on training to technicians on the proper usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various electrical equipment.

* Continuous Improvement:
* Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate relevant changes into training programs.
* Collect feedback from field service teams to continuously improve and enhance training curriculum and methods.

* Documentation:
* Develop training materials, including elearning, job aids, videos, participant guides, and work with instructional design teams for other blended methods.
* Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant feedback and evaluation of curriulum, and performance assessments.

* Collaboration:
* Work closely with the operations and safety/quality teams to understand specific training needs and customize curriculum accordingly.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Proven years of experience as a NASS field service coach with passion for teaching others or in a similar role.
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with all technical aspects and levels of the technician/mechanical, and all levels of tester roles proficiency, along with supervisor role proficiency 
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
* Ability to travel to Voltyx Academy in Nashville, TN to serve as facilitator/instructor.
* Microsoft Office proficiency, especially PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred:

* Advanced PowerPoint skills
* Prior experience in developing training materials and programs or instructor in our industry.
* People management experience
