Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The goal of the Music Therapy Program is to introduce patients with a wide array of diagnoses to a non-invasive, treatment option that promotes health and well-being. A trained, certified music therapist will use planned, live music interventions to aid patients in reaching their therapeutic goals. To implement this new program, ASC will contract/hire a music therapist to provide services three hours a week at both Mercy Downtown and Mercy Southwest Hospital locations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

* Knowledge of and ability to fluently play an acoustical instrument.

*  Excellent communication and interpretation skills.

* Teaching skills helpful. 

* Musical talent, discipline and perseverance. 

* 3+ years of experience fluently playing acoustic

instrument(s)
