Overview:
PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Mortgage Servicing Cash Management Specialist at our Irving, Texas service center. The primary purpose of this job is to insure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions for a variety of payment types, methods and frequency as well as transactions related to any/all member's mortgage accounts. This position will work collaboratively with multiple business units to ensure company guidelines and regulations are met.
Responsibilities:

* Timely and accurate processing of various payment related transactions, including, but not limited to: payment posting, reversals, return item processing, payoff processing, check disbursement, and daily balancing.
* Develop and maintain knowledge of the mortgage system of record and its use in performing various Cash related functions as well as related functional areas such as escrow, loss mitigation, etc.
* Reconcilement of posted items and resolution on posting rejects
* Provide superior customer service skills to internal and external parties.
* Meet accepted SLA levels for all customer inquiry tasks.
* Contribute to the development and refinement of PenFed mortgage servicing policies and procedures.
* Complete projects and assist with audits as assigned by manager/supervisor.
* Possess a good working knowledge of servicing guidelines and regulatory requirements established under NCUA, RESPA, CFPB and PenFed.
* Advise manager/supervisor of common issues and errors in order to improve processes.
* Maintain confidentiality of member's information.
* Maintain awareness and report any instances of concern consistent with the PenFed risk culture and established policies and procedures.
* Meet established standards and guidelines with regard to compliance, job knowledge, quality attendance and punctuality, efficiency, initiative, member service and overall performance.
*This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.*
Qualifications:
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
* Associates Degree or higher and/or equivalent work experience 1-2 years of mortgage experience.
* Computer literacy including, but not limited to, Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Strong math aptitude.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively with internal partners such as loss mitigation, auditing, and compliance.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, priority work environment.
* Present a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
* Self-motivated.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not supervise employees.
Licenses and Certifications
There are no additional certifications required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*
Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
