Responsibilities: How You Can Make a Real Impact: * Empower children to develop skills for daily life * Encourage their independence through personalized plans of care * Plan events and outings to build the Bancroft community * Belong to supportive team that holds one another accountable * Communicate with residents, families, and guardians Hear From Real Employees About Life at Bancroft Meet Myles - Meet Jillian - Meet Alyssa Qualifications: Requirements for Direct Support Professionals in Residential Programs: * High School diploma or GED * Prior experience in a related field preferred, for more acute programs required * Current college students or recent graduates desired * Valid non- provisional Driver's License in good standing Please note: Specific programs may have additional education and experience requirements Requirements for One to One Education Program Associates, Paraprofessionals, and ABA Direct Support Associates: * Bachelor's degree or current enrollment with a minimum of 30 credits toward a degree in Special Education Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Human Services or a related field required Requirements for ABA Specialist: * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of six months experience in Human Services or related field required. * Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred. Requirements for Special Education Teachers: * Bachelor's or Masters degree and eligibility for formal certification such as N.J. Teacher of Disabilities (or of the Handicapped) required. * Minimum of one year of teaching experience in special education preferred * Eligibility for Highly-Qualified Teacher status required. * Knowledge of teaching methods and educational programs designed for students with learning, physical and behavior disabilities. * Effective teaching and facilitation skills required.
