Responsibilities:
The Monitor Tech is responsible for performing and editing EKGs for both inpatients and outpatients, as well as conducting stress tests, including pharmacologic and standard protocols.
* Proficient in performance of EKGS, testing of both inpatients and outpatients.
* Proficient performing Stress Tests on outpatients and inpatients on pharmacologic as well as regular stress tests
* Performs editing of EKGs within the department and assists with the maintenance of the MUSE system.
* Handling of front desk duties of scheduling and coordinating of studies as needed.
* Maintains and organizes his unit with supplies and equipment.
* Completes special projects as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:
Minimum:
* HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
* Minimum of one year experience as cardiology technician, or experience as a monitor technician
* Basic EKG class or successful completion of the Basic Rhythm test
* Current American Heart Association-issued BLS card
Preferred:
* Previous skills in EKG and stress test performance
